We are delighted to welcome you and your child(ren) to the 2024/25 academic year at Tierra Madre. We look forward to embarking on this journey together! Below, you'll find important details to help you navigate the upcoming year.

 

Admission Forms (hard copies required on file):

Please ensure you have completed and returned the 2024/25 :​

*print-outs of all admission forms will be available at the gate over the first week of classes.  Please reach out to our team if you need printed forms to complete or assistance with our admision forms.

Program Details:

 

  • Dates: September 2, 2024 - July 23, 2025

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Important Information

Pick Up and Drop Off Routine

​

Drop off (8:15 - 8:25 AM):

  • Taller children should aim to arrive just before or promptly at 8:25 AM,

  • Gates open at 8:15 AM (only team members open the gate).

  • Gates close at 8:30 AM.

  • Late arrivals may not be admitted for the day.

  • Special pick up instructions: Please advise our team greeter at morning drop-off if there are any special pick-up instructions for your child(ren) that afternoon. â€‹

 

Pick up (2:00 - 2:25 PM):

  • Taller children should be picked up  by 2:25

  •  PM

  • Gate closes at 2:30 PM.

  • There will be a sign out sheet system at pick-up.  Please ensure you are signing each day.

​Lunch and Snack Policy

  • Parents are responsible for providing lunches and snacks Monday to Thursday.

  • On Fridays, we provide lunch for all children. Please provide a snack.

  • We encourage nutritious meals; please avoid candy, packaged, processed, or sugary foods.

 

What to Wear

  • Dress your child in comfy, movable clothing.

  • Remember that outdoor playtime is a daily occurrence, so dress them accordingly.

  • Ensure proper footwear with laces or velcro  for safety.

Health Policy

  • If your child is unwell (coughing, vomiting, fever, etc.), or has a communicable disease, please keep them at home until they are well.

  • We maintain a strict NO LICE, NO NIT policy.  Children with nits or lice will be sent home for treatment.

 

Custody Policy

  • Please inform our administrative team of any custody arrangements and provide all necessary supportive  documentation.  Please keep all custody information up-to-date throughout the year.

Tuition payment structure

Tuition payments

​

Tuition payments can be made in 11 equal monthly instalments throughout the year (September to July). No tuition credit is given for absences at Tierra Madre . The yearly tuition is due regardless of the number of days or months your child is at school, including holidays, illness, vacations, and other occasions.

​

Tuition instalment payments are due on or before the first day of each month (Sept. 1st, 2024 to July 1st, 2025).

 

 

Late payments

​

  • All payments made on the 2nd day of the month or later are considered late.

  • In the event that tuition cannot be paid on time, it is the parent's responsibility to promptly reach out to Tierra Madre to make arrangements for late payments.

  • There will be a $300 pesos late fee for any payments made on the 8th day of the month or later.

  • Accounts in arrears more than 15 days will result in enrolment in the program being suspended until payment is received.

  • Accounts in arrears more than 30 days will result in permanent removal from the program.

Parent/teacher interviews, and family fun day

Parent-Teacher Interviews

​

Following each evaluation period, we invite parents to participate in 30-minute parent-teacher interviews. These interviews are scheduled to provide an opportunity for detailed discussions about their child's progress, achievements, and areas for growth.

​

Family Fun Day

 

Family Fun Day is a special occasion at our school. It's a time when our families can gather, celebrate, and gain valuable insights into their child's progress and development by  immersing themselves in their educational experience. 

Program Communications

Monthly newsletter: Our monthly newsletter is designed to keep you connected with your child's educational journey in a fun and informative way. It offers an insightful recap of your child's recent activities and achievements, a peek into the exciting learning adventures ahead, and reminders about upcoming events and deadlines. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to stay involved and celebrate your child's progress with us.

 

Tierra Madre Whatsapp group Contact our administration team to be added to the Program What’sApp group (informative group only - no chats) to receive all of the program updates, important reminders, and information throughout the year (REQUIRED).

 

Tierra Madre Community group: Contact our parent liaison, Danielle Givens, to be added to the Tierra Madre community What’sApp group chat to stay connected with fellow parents about events, birthdays, and other community information (OPTIONAL).

​

Emergency communications: In the event of an emergency involving your child, we will contact you via WhatsApp or phone call, depending on the severity of the situation. If we are unable to reach the primary contacts, we will then reach out to the emergency contacts listed.

​

Parent communication expectations:  Parents are required to remain reachable and accessible for communication with us from the time their child is dropped off until the time they are picked up. If you become unavailable, please ensure that one of your designated contacts is reachable. Failure to provide prompt communication responses may result in the child's removal from the program.
